Gugu took to Instagram to reveal the good news. She said, "We had to wait for 40 full weeks to do this photoshoot because my bump was too small đas perfect as I looked on the outside I was dealing with a lot inside...I'm grateful for my love @tshepo_camera, my family and his family, my friends and my colleagues for the love and support they showered me with, through out my pregnancy"
Gugulethu is 31 years old and has played the character of Nomusa since the show's inception in 2018.
Viewers love her for her strong willingness to succeed and for always helping those around her. She was adored by many when she finally got some much needed screen time when she started dating Thusheleni played by Kaylin Soobramanian, an Indian boy that can speak Zulu fluently.
Their love story was one for the books and we loved seeing their love blossom until things just ended abruptly and now Nomusa wants her man back because a fellow waitress at Umsamo has snatched him right under her nose.
In real life, Gugu is married to camera operator and photographer Otshepeng Ruele and her love life is nowhere close to what we see on the show. She is enjoying being married and it seems her and her husband Tshepo are enjoying every bit of their marriage.
A number of Imbewu's actors have been surprising us with cute baby bumps. The first actor on the show to open the flood gates of pregnancy was Zakithi, played by Nokubonga Khuzwayo. When she disappeared, viewers already knew that was expecting. When she acme back, her twin sister left the show. We assume it was to take care of the new bundle of joy.
Her colleagues were very happy for her and her baby boy. She took to Instagram to thank them.
Nokubonga said, "So yesterday my other family @etvimbewutheseed @imbewu_bts surprised me with a babyshower, (canât post those pics, I have a very ugly crying face) this is how I felt (the picture), so much joy and appreciation, I still donât have words to express how I really felt. Thank you so much for all the support and love for âBabyHulkâ I promise to do my best to raise a good man that youâll be proud of. Youâve made this journey so beautiful and Hulk will know about it. Thank you for the gifts, we love all of them.''
Zethu who succumbed to depression on the show, also recently welcomed a new bundle of joy Lisakhanya Lukhona Xaba with her husband. Nonsindiso seems to be a vey private person and enjoys keeping her little family to herself. This explains why Zethu did not make an appearance for a few weeks on the show. When she came back, people were excited only for her character to be killed off.
There are rumours that since Lindiwe (played by Ntokozo Mzulwini) has disappeared on the show, it is because she also had a bun in the oven and is on maternity leave. We love this for the queens.
Congrats to Gugu and her husband on the pregnancy and we cannot wait to see the little one.
