The nation is struggling to come to terms with the untimely passing of former Rhythm City actor Jamie Bartlett aka David Genaro.
Tributes and messages of condolences have been pouring in since the news of his passing, and they have not stopped. Details surrounding Jamie's cause of death have been sketchy, but his cause of death has come to light. His partner Rosa Onious has revealed that they have received his autopsy results and he died of cardiac arrest, according to Channel 24.
Rosa said Jamie had taken a nap on Monday afternoon since he wasn't working. When he tried to wake him up at around 17:00, he was unresponsive,
"I said Jamie, Jamie, [but] Jamie didn't look up," she told the publication. She said she then called her mom to assist her. An emotional Rosa said they called an ambulance for help within 15 minutes it arrived, but he did not make it. "They tried everything to resuscitate him, CPR, everything, but it was too late," she said.
On Sunday evening, the pair had drinks at Lifestyle Brooklyn Club in Pretoria, where they were with Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo. According to Somizi, Jamie was in good spirits and gave a warm welcome to everyone at the club, and he made fun of him for that.
“And just like that. Last night would be the last night together literally. I even made fun of you for greeting each and every person @012_lifestyle_brooklyn. Including the kitchen staff. Your spirit knew…..farewell my Jamie.”
There hasn’t been any official statement from his family regarding his funeral arrangements. Tributes continue to pour for the actor and his industry colleagues are shattered following his untimely passing..
