Jub Jub has proven that he has no grudge or any untoward feelings against Kelly Khumalo. He showed this by gushing over her on the special day dedicated to mothers.
Taking to Instagram stories, Jub Jub said, “Despite our differences, I would like to wish the woman who carried and brought my son into this world a Happy Mother’s Day.”
Jub Jub and Kelly Khumalo have a 12-year-old son, Christian Khumalo. The young boy has been trending on social media after a rumour about his behaviour in school made rounds. According to a controversial Twitter blogger Musa Khawula, her son allegedly got expelled from school after he carried drugs.
To make the rumour even more bizarre, it is said he stole the marijuana from Kelly's boyfriend. Kelly is yet to address this.
The parents have been having a public battle when it comes to Jub Jub being an active part of Christian's life. In the eyes of the public, Kelly is seen as a person who does not want Jub Jub anywhere near their son. Whereas Jub Jub is seen as a father who is absent.
Both parties tell two different versions of the situation but so far the public knows of Kelly's which is she tried to contact Jub Jub's family but to not success.
In one episode, she told her best friend Wanda Baloyi, "Nobody called me back and I also stopped trying," she said.
Kelly even said she washes her hands with this whole situation and Christian will know the truth when he is older. “I’ve tried and when Christian gets older he will know. I mean his old enough to remember that I did mention certain things with him because I was trying to make an effort for him to have a father in his life.
"I am washing my hands. I have had enough. This whole father thing is an issue. Christian’s father is not making an effort. My father is also not making an effort,” added Kelly. “Also with my dad. Everything is fizzled out. And, I’m at the point where I’m like – it’s right now. I don’t care anymore.”
He then was forced to apologise to her so he could get his job at Moja Love back. "....I would like to apologies for the distress, or hurt I may have caused her following not only the aftermath of my interview on podcast and chill with Mac G but also any other public opinion," he said.
He then said the comments that he made during the interview were taken out of context.
"There is no way I can take back the missed years in his life. However, given the opportunity by you, I know that I can be a good father to him...You are the mother of my son, and I have a lot of respect for you. In me trying to set the record straight about me being an absent father to my son or me not caring or loving him, a lot of wrongs happened in a short space of time during that interview," he said.
