Idols SA fans who rooted for Kelly Khumalo to replace Somizi Mhlongo on the singing competition, might be disappointed to find out that the songstress will not be joining the show. According to City Press, Kelly will not even be entertaining Mzansi Magic's offer simply because she is already part of a singing competition on SABC 2 called Stand Up South Africa.

Stand Up SA is a family singing competition where families get into a heated competition with other families. The grand prize is a whopping R100 000. It premiered last week Sunday, the 5th. It is hosted by the talented Dineo Langa and judging the competition show is Kelly, Lorcia Cooper Khumalo and Kurt Darren.
During the shows virtual media launch Kelly spoke of her excitement, “I cannot wait for the public to see this. One of the thigs I was looking for as a judge was the chemistry between the families,” she said as quoted by Drum.
This leaves Kelly no choice but to obviously turn down Idols SA. Seeing how Kelly and Somizi, the man fans was hoping Kelly would be replacing on the show are best friends, that possibly fueled her decision as well.
Parting ways with Somizi, M-Net wrote in a statement, “M-Net and Mr Somizi Mhlongo met to discuss his role on Idols SA in light of the allegations made against him. We have reached a mutual agreement that Mr Mhlongo will take some time off to deal with his personal circumstances until this matter has been resolved. Viewers will still see Mr Mhlongo on their screens until August 22 2021 as the audition shows for Idols SA were pre-recorded.”
A source told Sunday World, “Khumalo will definitely be one of the guests,” a source told the publication. “She is already an M-Net talent and is doing well for the channel,” it added.
In other news, Kelly has urged her future husband to give her money and not be stingy when she asks. “If I ask you that I want this, don’t be stingy, just be generous with your money,” she advised in an IG video.
The video was intended to advise her future husband to give her money the same way her "dad" is giving her money. She says everything she asks for, she gets and she expects the same treatment from future husband.
The vaccinated star did not have a good experience with the injection saying it made her not feel her lady parts. “You know when they say, straight talk doesn’t break any friendship? Me I am like this. So, last week I went for my vaccination for Covid-19. I get there, they are telling me that maybe I’m going to experience a slight headache, maybe my arm will be in pain.” She continued.
“No problem. But they didn’t mention that certain parts of my body will not be functioning properly. You know I am not feeling anything down under. Is it me or is it just the repercussions of the vaccine? I just need to understand. She is not the same.”
