Due to her good grades she was awarded the Jules Kramer Award for Fine Arts when she graduated.
In 2004, Kgomotso graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts at Columbia University in New York City.

Kgomotso also starred on theatre plays such as Romeo & Juliet, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet and Dr Faustus.

Kgomotso announced in 2020 that she will be apart of M-Net’s upcoming original telenovela Legacy.
Legacy is scheduled to debut in September and features an all-star cast, former Isidingo villain Michelle Botes, Golden Horn Award winner for Best Supporting Actress Mary Anne Barlows, Anton Jeftha and Deon Lotz have been announced as part of the cast.
The actress will portray the role of Dineo, the wife of Sebastian Price who has built an upmarket investment empire and is getting ready to retire and a family member has to take his position, but who will it be?

The name of the character she played on Scandal was Yvonne Thebe.
The actress shared a picture of herself on the set of Scandal, finally signing out. As hugs and kissing have been prohibited on many SA’s TV shows, the actress was showered with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
