Khanyi is currently mourning the death of her father Menzi Mcunu who recently passed on. Menzi was laid to rest this past week and a fan encouraged her to break down because she seemed strong following her loss.

Steel Tsoso tweeted to her, “I saw you grabbing the bull by the horns during your father's funeral service, I understand that someone had to, but please remember to give yourself time to cry, and break down we all know that you are daddy's little girl Mina ubabakho I know him ngwawe...you are loved.”,

To which Khanyi responded with, “When that moment comes I will…”.

The once self-proclaimed gold digger has been in the media industry for quiet some time. Khanyi shot fame when she bagged the character of Doobsie on Muvhango. The character turned into a household name with a legion of fans, and she is since been able to maintain her relevance in the industry.

The starlet was previously married to Mandla Mthembu until they divorced. Their relationship became the talk of the town as they used to flex their opulence. The former lovebirds have a beautiful daughter together.
