"I'm excited to be part of this instalment of Big Brother Mzansi. The franchise has become a massive phenomenon in African as well as South African pop culture, and I'm happy to join in the fun as a presenter. The fan base is huge and massively loyal – it's an honour to be part of such a fantastic production," said Lawrence.

The highly anticipated new season of Big Brother Mzansi will be the hottest yet. In addition to the 24-hour channel (DStv channel198), daily shows and weekly highlights, viewers will also see the return of the most-liked feature, the Shower Hour. There will also be Friday game nights, Saturday night parties hosted with Channel O featuring the hottest DJs and, of course, the twists and turns of Sunday night evictions.

Lawrence rose to fame on Club 808 and has hosted several shows in his illustrious TV career Mzansi Magic's reality competition series Clash of the Choirs South Africa and SABC 1's dating show Too Hot To Be Single.

The actor and TV host is a sight for sore eyes and many people enjoy seeing him on the screens. With his unique way of delivering his artistic vision on the small screens, he has definitely catapulted to a seat at the table in both acting and TV presenting.

Tweeps have reacted to his new TV hosting gig and they think he is a perfect fit to host the show. Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net said they are happy that he will join the new season of the show because he is vibrant and has a stage presence.

"Lawrence has proven to be one of the top young talents on our screens, his vibrant and confident screen as well as stage presence is a perfect fit for Big Brother Mzansi. We can't wait for viewers to tune in to what's certainly going to be a very exciting season."

Upon hearing Big Brother Mzansi was making a comeback on Twitter, fans called for former SABC 3 presenter Katlego Maboe to host the new season of the show. Maboe disappeared from the spotlight after he admitted to being wrong in a tape, which showed his wife Monique Muller exposing him for cheating on her. Monique revealed that she was diagnosed with an STD that has caused harm to her womb.

The highly anticipated new season of Big Brother Mzansi will certainly have viewers glued to the small screens when it premieres in January. In a statement shared by Multichoice recently they said the show promises to be as exciting and action as ever.
