The latest storyline on The River one Magic sees Linda Mtoba’s Nomonde come back into the fold and has fallen in love with Thembinkosi Mthembu’s Mabutho and viewers are here for their love story. However, Nomonde is unaware that the man who has swept her off her feet has been lying to her about who he really is.

Mabutho has put on a serious front about being a big shot businessman with businesses around the world and that’s one of the reasons Nomonde fell for him in the first place. She doesn’t know that he is just a regular Joe from Refiloe who works as a general worker at her mom’s mine. And that’s not even the best part about it – Mabutho was married to Nomonde’s late step-sister Tumi. It all happened when she went AWOL and they’re both unaware of this. The two are in for the shock of their lives.
As perfect of a couple as the two make, fans can forget about them ever being in a relationship outside The River as they’re both in a committed relationship. Chatting to Somizi last year on Dinner At Somizi, Thembinkosi broke many hearts when he revealed that he is in a committed relationship.
Linda Mtoba on the other hand celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary in May. “I’m so happy with my life. My husband and I have been together 10 years this year and tomorrow is our 4th year wedding anniversary. Thixo umuhle, I’ll never not express my gratitude,” she tweeted.
“I can’t even articulate how dumbfounded I am every time ppl get upset abt what I choose to show about my private life. There’s so much of me that I give & share. The one that’s closest to my heart, being the husband I want kept as my own & you feel I don’t deserve.”
Linda says that her husband chooses to keep their relationship out of the public eye. “How you think it’s ok to demand of me that I share what’s closest & dearest to me, is hurtful, to say the least. My husband isn’t in the public eye, he didn’t choose that. I did. He’s a part of my life I choose to “show” how I want to. Cause he’s such an important part of my life at that.”
She has also slammed the public for putting pressure on her to share more of her private life. “Can I decide how to live & share my life? You posting our pics for likes & retweets is so low & intrusive. Imphilo yam le. I’m blessed with a full life, one I’m content with. God has truly been so good to me & my family. I will always protect the ones I love.”
