As fans warm up to the release of the second season of the Showmax original The Real Housewives of Durban, Londie London talked about her experience being on her first reality show, and it has been intense for many reasons.
In an interview with News 24 the actress and musician opened up on how she made the decision to join the show. She said that her life had changed significantly in recent times as she has become a wife and a mother. She therefore thought it would be a good idea to let her fans see what the big transitions have been like for her life, as she is rebranding herself.
Londie further shared how the news was received by her family. She said that her husband, businessman Hlubi Nkosi, is a private man who would not have chosen to have his personal and family life out in the public eye. Even so he was very happy for her and knows that it will be an excellent opportunity, in as much as being on camera will make him a bit uncomfortable.
As fans await the drop of the new season, Londie is excited for what the show has in store for them. She has promised many exciting fashion looks as well as a lot of sassy moments. But the best part about working on the show for her has been that she gets to have a lot of fun and meet new friends who work just as hard as she does.
Londie is not the only celebrity who is having to make big adjustments to be on The Real Housewives of Durban. Businessman and polygamist Musa Mseleku's wife Thobile "MaKhumalo" Mseleku also recently announced that she would be joining the show.
MaKhumalo said that most people only knew her from Uthando Nes'thembu, so their knowledge of her was limited to her interactions with Musa and her cowives. Joining RHOD is her opportunity to let her fans know that there's more to her than just Musa's wife. She is a well-rounded woman leaving the big city dream and now fans get to see that.
The new season will also welcome Jojo Robinson, a tattoo fanatic and artist. She is married to former kickboxing champion Calven Robinson. As she said her decision to join the season is to add a new dimension to the show. She will be bringing the voice of the tattooed community in an attempt to present a new perspective and change the narrative.
The second season is gearing up to be pretty interesting and we cannot wait for the 28th of January when it finally drops.
