Earlier this month MacG announced that Podcast And Chill would attempt to fill up the 8000-capacity Sun Bet Arena in Pretoria as they near the 1 million subscribers mark.
Giving the chillers an update on the preparations MacG shared that ticket sales were going slow and that he is pressured by the organizing team to postpone the event.
“I figured out why our ticket sales are so low. The link is not working. The one we put in the description below. We are on 300 now. We are rocking I told you.”
This would be the second podcast event ever in Podcast history. The first one was Joe Rogan at the Maddison Square Arena.
The event is about the podcast They will film an episode and try to recreate the set. “All the other stuff is just a nice sprinkle on top,” added MacG.
He also revealed that they are short of sponsors and encouraged anyone who is interested to e-mail him.
The show will feature a live recording of the podcast, as well as performances by some of South Africa’s top entertainers.
Chillers will get to interact with MacG and his team. Doors open at 18h00 and the show starts at 20h00.
Kabza De Small and Mpho Popps have already been confirmed on the line-up.
