Limpopo-born superstar Makhadzi is currently living lavida loco with her partner and fellow music artiste Master KG in Canada where they are both performing at a series of concerts and private parties at Makhadzi’s tour for her international fans. Taking to Instagram, Makhadzi showed us how well received her new song MaGear is, even before its music video release. It is uniting African fans in the diaspora as well as Europeans with dance moves from Limpopo.

It has been a couple of days after the DStv MVCMA winner, Makhadzi’s social media DM riff-raff with influencer and club promoter Inno Morolong which saw her top the trends list even in her absence in the country but she is proving her priorities are different and that she has better things to do with her time.As per her Instagram feed, Makhadzi performed her first show at the Canada & Ottawa African Festival in Vancouver. The singer performed her hits, Ghanama, MaGear featuring Mr Brown and many others.
Makhadzi gave nothing short of a superstar performance for the Canadian crowd. One fan even waved a South African flag while she performed, MaGear.
She shared the video of her performance to over 710K of her Instagram followers and the singer wrote in the caption, “The owner of the show says he [has] never seen such energy. South Africa, we are winning.”
While performing every night, Makhadazi is also incorporating a bit of leisure to her trip and living large while in Canada. She recently also shared a rather fancy video of herself with her man being chauffeured in style during their trip. In the video, Makhadzi is seen entering a Bentley in a sequenced rockstar set while a gentleman opens the door for her and she captioned it with sass, “Sorry I am not opening the door. My hands are only made to hold the mic. Please open the door for me.”
In another video that surfaced on the timeline, the Ghanama hitmaker is also seen ordering rapper and businessman Cassper Nyovest’s premium tequila Billiato in a Canadian restaurant. But there’s one small problem…the waiter has no idea what the star is talking about, leaving the Limpopo-born singer rather unimpressed. “OK, fine give me coke with ice”, she tells the waiter before rolling her eyes at the camera.

This year, Makhadzi received her first-ever South African Music Award (SAMA) nominations. The performer is up for three awards including SAMPRA Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year for Ghanama featuring Prince Benza.
A representative for Open Mic Productions told Daily Sun that it was a big achievement for Makhadzi. “Especially because the SAMAs are a big local brand and for her to be part of it is a big deal.”
Her fans online continue to celebrate the singer’s success and international recognition. Designer and Twitter user Tomi Rikhotso tweeted, “The international recognition Makhadzi is receiving. I love it for her.”
Another user shared, “Makhadzi had a show in Canada and it was fully packed there are a lot of foreign nationals called South Africans in Canada”
