The sangoma got candid about her love life, the pets she owns, and her children. Gogo Maweni admitted that she owns the weirdest and most bizarre animals.
"My house is full of snakes, we have 5 snakes, one owl, two rabbits and we have two tortoises and three beautiful dogs," she said.
Gogo Maweni slammed those who say she practices witchcraft with the snakes. People typically allege that snakes are used for dark magic or to accumulate wealth in African culture, but Gogo Maweni has cleared her name.
"I don't use these animals for anything. I love animals," she said. She went on to clarify the process of Ukuthwala saying that " If uthwele with something, another person can't see it( the snake) with their naked eyes. If ngithwele ngenyoka, you cannot see it, but I can see it, because it's mine," she added.
Gogo Maweni went on to reveal that she once took her snake to the doctor because it had flue. She said after she posted the video online it gained traction and people had mixed reactions. Gogo Maweni says she has a Doctorate in Traditional Medicine, she accumulated from uMhlab'uhlangene University which is in Durban, KZN.
Gogo Maweni also opened up about her kids saying she has three beautiful children, one of them with SK Khoza, and one of them is American.
She threw major shade at her baby daddy SK Khoza after the Ghost Lady said he is one of the cute men in the country who don't look like they are from SA. Gogo Maweni said she will give her his number, but she said she must not get pregnant because SK will allegedly not take care of her baby."I will give you his number just make sure you don't get pregnant because he's not gonna take care of you and your child."
In April SK made news headlines after he had a meltdown and videos of him surfaced on social media. People started looking into Gogo Maweni's personal life after viewing the videos, and they dug an old post that left many people speculating that she allegedly bewitched him, but she denied the claims.
In one of her older social media posts, she wrote, βI donβt have baby daddy issues. All issues were settled in my nduma! The outcome was to leave them with nothingβ¦if my kids donβt βeatβ no one eats β do the math!"
In an interview on Gagasi FM, Gogo Maweni cleared her name and denied any involvement, "For those who don't know, I supported him financially and emotionally. I have never seen this side of him and I cannot comment on his behavior because there are things that I cannot speak about regarding him."
During their interview on Gagasi FM, the sangoma stated that even though they are no longer together, she was willing to help him, "I will be willing to assist. Sthembiso is the father of my child. I don't hate him and I don't like seeing him do all these things and to be honest, I was hurt. To be honest he was one of the people who pushed me to accept my ancestral calling. I don't want to and he said you need to go through this and I will support you."
Taking to Instagram, SK Khoza opened up about the incidents and he claimed that he was trapped in a "dark space."
"Forgive ME for I have SINNED and was trapped in a very DARK SPACE," he wrote in part. He also prayed for his mental health, "Dear God, enlighten what's dark in me, strengthen what's weak in me. Mend what's broken in me, bind what's bruised in me. Heal what's sick in me. Revive whatever peace and love had died. Help me to understand that difficult times can make me strong
Maweni also admitted to bewitching her baby daddy, former Sundowns player Siyabonga Zulu. The sangoma said she wanted to teach him a lesson. βItβs a thing of βyou think you know better, when Iβve helped you,'β she said. She went on to claim that Siyabonga crashed her car and he used to be promiscuous and one time he had a R45 000 bill at a nightclub.
