Glen has already started filming and in the short video he shows his excitement of being back. Cast and crew members gave him a warm welcome, a gesture he is very excited about.
"I am excited and I am on top of the world. It is a pleasure to be back. The welcome I received from the cast and crew was phenomenal," he said with much enthusiasm.
Even though he returned as Mbatha's rival, the two were jolly and shaking hands on-set. Mbatha played by Thabo Mnguni is the current head minister of Kwa-Mashu Kingdom Church but his position at the church is hanging by a thread because of his scandalous ways.
Mbatha who is married, is a sexual predator who preys on young church members, ever since taking over the reigns as the pastor at Kwa Mashu Kingdom Church.
His character has mistakenly painted him as a sexual predator in real life and Uzalo rubbished those claims in a form of a statement, "Thabo Mnguni’s character on uzalo is currently involved in some unscrupulous activities including a sexual abuse scandal.
"This is a fictitious storyline unrelated to his personal life. Uzalo is very passionate in presenting stories that keep its viewers aware of the many topical sociopolitical issues we face as South Africans."
Glen Gabela is making his return along with troublesome Mumsy played by Nomcebo Gumede. She has left the show a while back but told Daily Sun that she was shocked when she got the call to return on-set.
"This is the third time Mumsy is making a comeback on the show. I never thought she’d come back. I only believed it when I had to sign the contract. People shouldn’t expect Mumsy to be crazy. They shouldn’t expect her to be the same person she was when she left for Swaziland.
“Although people are going to see a soft side to her, she is still going to bring drama and excitement to the show as she’s hiding a big secret. I left the show in 2018 and have had the opportunity to play different characters, which were totally different to Mumsy. I was concerned about whether I’m doing justice to the character as I didn’t want to disappoint. But the casting director and some cast members assured me I’m doing great,” she told the publication.
