There is a reason why Nandi Madida formerly Nandi Mngoma is everyone's favourite. She is a television presenter, singer, actress and model. Her career began at the age of four as the lead in ballet. She has also won several beauty pageants.
She is passionate about celebrating women and empowering them to follow their dreams. She is known for her ambition, focus, creativity, fulfilment in her marriage and most importantly, how she serves as an inspiration to lots of young people across the nation. Many fashionista’s have in fact derived their inspirations from the uniqueness of her outfits.






Nandi Mngoma Age, Family, Education


Nandi Mngoma Madida is 31 years old and was born on the 20th March 1988 in Maphumulo in KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. She was born to Thamsanqa Mngoma who is 58 years old and Thandeka Mngoma who is 57 years old. Her father and mother are doctor and lawyer respectively. Nandi has 2 siblings, a brother by the name of Thabo who is 35 and a sister named Langa who is 26 years old.


Nandi Mngoma Marriage, Children




Nandi Mngoma married 38 year old music producer Zakes Bantwini in 2016. 
It came as quite a surprise to her fans, being an intimate affair with only a few friends and family who attended the ceremony. She had said that she did not want a big fuss about it and that was why she intentionally did not involve the media in the proceedings.

“A lot of people were surprised about the wedding, but not us and especially not my parents. By the time Zakes proposed, my parents already knew because he asked them for my hand in marriage. So technically I was the last to know,” Nandi said.

Nandi was also quite adamant that the wedding did not happen overnight, she said that she and her partner went through several sessions of marriage counseling.

Since their marriage, they have been blessed with two children. Her son, Shaka Madida was born in November 2016 and her daughter, Queen Nefertiti Madida was born in May 2019.
 

Nandi Mngoma Career

Aside from dance and her winning numerous titles in her modeling career, Nandi had her introduction into her music career when she won a talent search which gave her a steady gig as a performer at the Gateway Mall in Durban, South Africa.

When she was 15 years old she landed her first television presenting job hosting the SABC2 pre-teen entertainment show ‘Bling’ in 2004. The show informed children about music, movies and other issues. 

In 2013 she joined ProVerb and Dineo Ranaka as a co-host of the Mzansi Magic magazine programme All Access Mzansi. From 2015 to 2016 Nandi starred as ‘Zoe’ in Mzansi Magic telenovela ‘The Road’ and in 2016 she also co-hosted with Trevor Sineke the 2nd season of the etv reality series ‘Coke Studio’.

September 2016 she also began co-hosting the BET entertainment magazine and became special correspondent in 2018. Then in 2017 she hosted AfroPunk Africa and became the executive producer for Made In Africa in 2018.

Nandi Mngoma Controversy


In 2018 a woman went on a ‘secret revealing spree’, saying that the marriage of Nandi Madida and Zakes Bantwini is on the rocks due to Zakes not being a faithful husband.

This news shocked her fans and although they had previously decided that they would not respond to these rumours, Nandi reconsidered and publicly informed everyone that the rumours were nothing, but lies. Nandi spoke up in a radio interview and said that she and her husband had a big laugh about it. 

“Make sure your relationship is between you and the person you love, no one has power over it, no one has a say over it and people will always talk, we were laughing. People will try and break something that’s beautiful, there’s nothing you can do,” she said.

Nandi however is doing quite well for herself and she has a beautiful family. Keep doing you sis and we love you too!
