The former Scandal star took to her Instagram to share the news. She said even though she has a fear of needles, her experience was smooth, she gave credit to the nurse that was helping her.

“Over 50s covid vaccination Appreciation post. Just received my first dose at the GALLAGHER ESTATE Discovery vaccination centre. I fear a serious fear of needles. But thank you to Registered nurse LUNGILE who administered my dose. She was amazing,” she wrote.

Taking to the comments section, actress Winnie Ntshaba said she is also looking forward to her jab.

She responded: "My sis, it’s so funny how we have the same fears…. I saw your post about guns which I can never handle even when acting…. Another one for me is needles😢😢😢 but I am in line to go for my jab…. I dread it, I won’t lie but I choose life. Well done big sis👏👏😍😍😍😍"

A few days ago Nthati opened up about her fear of guns. She said she struggles with roles that require her to use guns.

Taking to Instagram to pour her heart out, The Isono star wrote: "I love acting with every fiber of my being. I truly struggle when I get a role that requires that I use a gun. For this role of Mary Ndlovu, I had to go for extensive training at a shooting range just downstairs to our set.

"My instructor understood my fear my phobia, my concern about how uncomfortable I was. I'm a pacifist so this is a real battle for me. A lot of female roles on our SA screens are gun-toting badasses who pull the trigger without provocation. I'm really struggling with this narrative as ì don't know (if any of these women). This country is so violent and guns are a MASSIVE challenge."

Responding to Nthati, Kaybee said Nthati nails her character, she said one can not see that she struggles with guns.

"Watching Isono, I couldn't have imagined the battle you have with handling guns. And to have to publicly admit this is admirable. Keep shining Mama Mary."

@Chichibenneth said Nthati is the perfect person for  Mary Ndlovu role.
"No better person would have killed this role, I tried so hard no to dislike your real person because Ma’am Mary Ndlovu killed this character. Love, from Nigeria. 🥰"
