In case you haven’t heard, Kenyan based comedienne Elsa Majimbo is in town. The Fendi ambassador has been sighted with South African television personality Olwethu Leshabane and DJ Black Coffee. Majimbo landed in the country recently after notifying her fans that SA was her next stop.

Elsa is no stranger to the South African audience as she has a big following here. In 2020 she was awarded ‘Entertainer Of The Year; by GQ South Africa at the Men of the Year Awards. She also worked with some brands over here. Majimbo is one of 2020’s biggest breakout stars. Her viral videos have been featured on Comedy Central several times. She’s received praise from the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Joan Smalls, Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi, Snoop Dogg and Cassper Nyovest.
The 19-year-old also has endorsements with MAC Cosmetics, Rihanna’s Fenty, MTN but to name a few. In 2020 she was awarded the People's Choice Award for Favorite African Social Star. At the 2020 Streamy Awards, YouTuber Lilly Singh presented Majimbo with her "Creator Honor" award and praised her style of comedy, calling her an icon.

Olwethu was the first princess at the Mrs South Africa beauty pageant 2016/2017 for married women. She is also the founder of the Red Wings Project – It aims to have equal and fair distribution and availability of sanitary products and facilities for women in South Africa regardless of race and economic status. It also aims to educate and abolish the stigmas associated with women and their periods.
