Pearl is no stranger to working on international projects, she is one of Mzansi's superstars who have cemented their places internationally in the world of showbiz and we are proud of their hustles.

The stunner was on the second season of America's star-studded series Quantico, where she portrayed a lead role, but she left the show in the midst of a creative shakeup on the show. In a tweet, Pearl said she was leaving South Africa for the first time this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic to work on this project. The TV star did not reveal what the project is or where she will be working on it.
One of Pearl Thusi's latest projects was Queen Sono. The second season 2 of the First African Netflix Original Series, has been canceled due to Covid-19 related challenges.

In a statement, a Netflix spokesperson confirmed that they have decided to not continue with the second season.

We’ve made the difficult decision not to move forward with season 2 of Queen Sono. We are incredibly proud of the Diprente team for sharing their audacious vision and bringing it to life with Netlflix. A huge thank you to our fans across the world for the love shared for our first African Original series. Netflix is also grateful to the amazing efforts shown by the cast and crew for their stellar efforts in creating this show for our members around the world. We’ll continue to work closely with South Africa’s creative industry to keep producing more compelling ‘Made-in-South Africa’ stories.” said a Netflix Spokesperson.

Pearl Thusi who played a lead role said she is proud of all the work they put as a team and said she is excited about what the future holds for her. “It’s so incredible that we as a team got a lifetime opportunity to make history together as there will never be another ‘first’ African Netflix Original Series. I’m proud of the work we did, but everything happens for a reason. I am excited about what the future holds.” said Pearl Thusi, Lead Actress for Queen Sono.

Congratulations Pearl and we cannot wait to find out what 2021 has in store for you.
