“Sending You More Love”- Makhadzi Sympathizes With Babes Wodumo On Valentine’s Day

On Tuesday 14 February, Babes took to Facebook to share a photo of herself visiting Mampintsha’s grave for Valentine’s Day. She opened up about spending the first Valentine’s Day without her husband who died in December, after suffering a stroke.

She penned a heartfelt message to Mampintsha, “Wow. After sooo many years, this is the first Valentine’s Day without you sthandwa sam [my love]…Today women out there are celebrating with loved ones, but, however, me being here today makes it different from others… I forever cherish [the] days we shared together…Ngyazi ujabulile ukubungbona [I know that you are happy to see me] today nginawe sdudla sam [I am with you my chubs], Sdikselwa, Stakataka, Baba ka [father to] Sponge.

Scores of fans including Makhadzi, commented on the post and sympathized with her. Makhadzi showed love to Babes by commenting, “Sending you love,” To which Babes responded, “one love.”
In 2021, Babes went on an Instagram rant in which she hurled insults at Makhadzi and accused her of allegedly going after her late husband Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, and sleeping with him. In addition to accusing Makhadzi of not bathing, the gqom queen also said she did not have a future.

Following the claims, Makhadzi took to Twitter to set the record straight. The Ghanama hitmaker dismissed the allegations. She said the allegations were a publicity stunt by Babes and her team. She further said she would not let her tarnish her name.

“Imagine my boyfriend hearing that I am trending for another man😂😂! . Just Because someone wants to pull a stunt by mentioning my name.

Makhadzi also went on Instagram live to further address Babes Wodumo’s claims. She revealed that she was at Babes Wodumo’s house studio to work with Mampintsha, and Babes got into a fight with Mampintsha because he was gazing over her.

“You have never heard anyone talking about whatever happened in the studio. I kept quiet, I only spoke to my boyfriend.

“I told him that you were fighting with your boyfriend for looking at me and it’s something that I cannot control. I came to your studio because I wanted to work. I’m not even the one who spoke to Mampintsha,” she explains.

“My management spoke to him to put a verse. You didn’t want me to record and you fought with Mampintsha in front of everyone. We had to calm you down so that he could record.

“I sat in the studio for five hours waiting for Mampintsha to record five bars because you were making noise and acting up.”

Makhadzi explained that Mampintsha kept following her outside to speak with her.

“When I went out to take calls your man was following me. It’s not my problem if your man loves women. You must deal with him, not me. And the funny thing is I don’t even have your man’s number.

“Today you are here fighting, looking for attention, and tarnishing my name. So please stop tarnishing my name because I can see now that even the newspapers are starting to write lies about me.

“I didn’t take your man and I don’t go around taking other people’s men. Of course, I came to your studio and I know you and Mampintsha are together. my only intention was to work,” she said
