We first met the songstresss when she was the youngest hopeful on the eight season of Idols, fortunately for her, she did not win because the winners tend to fall into obscuritiy .
Shekhinah has managed to make a name for herself and today, she is one of the most successful South African Idols contestants.
We recently caught up with the hitmaker at her song launch and she let us in on what to expect from her forthcoming highly anticipated debut album, speaking of her new single she said, “my new song is a work of love, it talks about being in love and feeling really good about yourself and those who are around you.”
She then went on to say that she can’t wait for us to hear the rest of her album, “my album has so many themes, it talks about love and heartbreak, there is also a song that talks about being a woman, especially in South Africa where so many bad things are happening to women.” she added.
Music fans can be sure to expect a power-driven sound on her album that will be released in a few months with an Afro Pop sound to set airwaves ablaze.
