To our surprise, award-winning singer, Simphiwe Dana is in the studio with Moonchild Sanelly working on new music.

Don't get us wrong, they are both equally talented artists - this is just a collabo we didn't see coming as the two's music is worlds apart. Dana made the announcement through her Twitter account, revealing that she's a fan of Moonchild.

"So I’m doing a song with Moonchild Sanelly because baby can sing." She wrote. "Y’all don’t know that. And when I say someone can sing I mean it. Plus I love her whole aesthetic."

Her followers expressed in the comment section that they are looking forward to the collabo because It's not something that they expected.

Dana is a 40-year-old South African singer-songwriter often compared to the legendary Mam Miriam Makeba.

Her 2004 release, Zandisile won multiple awards including a SAMA in 2005 and gained success on the Billboard charts, winning her an AVO Session Basel Award.

Moonchild Sanelly, real name Sanelisiwa Twisha, is a South African singer and dance. She's widely known for her blue hairstyle and self-created music style - Future Ghetto Punk.
