Congratulations are in order for Scandal star Sive Mabuya. The actress recently shared pictures of her Lobola negotiations day on Instagram.
Giving fans a sneak peek inside the negotiations, The actress did not get into too many details. She only shared her cute snaps and a video with a cow and a ring emoji as her caption.

Fans and other celebrities including former Scandal star Lusanda Mbane, Bohang Moeko, Zenande Mfenyane, and many more have since taken to the comments section to congratulate the actress.
A few weeks ago, Sive announced that she has scored a new role. The actress shared that she is going to be part of Mzali Wami season two.

"From my vision board to your screens🥺🥺🥺… look at God! 2022 is off to an explosive start!!! It’s a date mos bantase??!!:" she wrote.

Sive joined the likes of Masasa Mbangeni who plays the role of Joyce, Nolwazi Shange  (Sibongile), Luzuko Nkqeto (Qiniselo), Oros Mampofu (Musa), Ncibijana Madlala, (Godfrey), and Zimkitha Kumbaca who stars as Busisiwe on the show.

Mzali Wami tells a story of a young girl Ntokozo played by Lungilo Mpangase, who was stolen from her biological mother Joyce shortly after birth.

Masasa previously opened up to News24  about her role as Joyce on the show. She said it came at the right time when she had just parted ways with Scandal. Read More: Masasa Mbangeni Is Leaving Scandal

She said Joyce's role also came during the pandemic and she was grateful, "I hadn't been shooting for a while due to Covid, and my Scandal character, Thembeka, had just died. This role came at a beautiful time when I had made peace with her death. Let's just say, an opportunity to work during the pandemic came and I grabbed it with both hands."

She said she learned a lot from Joyce including resilience, "I've also learned the importance of staying closer to the truth. Even when her child was lost, she didn't change her story but maintained it. This tells me that if you stick to your truth, it doesn't matter what people are saying - what is important is to be patient and remain true to yourself,"

Masasa also opened up to the publication about working alongside the former Generations star Dumisane Mbebe on the show. She said they got along very well.

"Dumisani is a great actor, very funny and also kind. He's very complex and compassionate. I recognize that passion within myself as well and I guess that's why we got along so well on set. I could give him advice and he would do the same for me too. the publication quoted Masasa.

Mzali Wami season 2 premiered earlier this month. Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, shared the news of its return last year saying it was not clear whether all the cast members will return for the upcoming season.

"The series has been greenlit for a second season and production will start soon. No word on whether all the principal talent will return for the new season," Phil wrote.
