Blood and Water, and Gomora star, Ama Qamata, took to Instagram live on Friday, 17 July 2020, to announce that she has tested positive for COVID-19. The up and coming actress assured her fans that she was experiencing mild symptoms, however it was nothing to worry about.

In her live video, she stated, “I just want to take this video to announce that I have tested positive for Covid-19. I feel fine, honestly I have very mild symptoms. The only thing I’m experiencing is just I can’t smell or taste anything. Other than that I feel fine.” She went on to express the importance of taking the pandemic seriously, and urged her followers to stay at home and take all precautionary measures as the virus continues to spread throughout the country.
The actress thanked fans for their well wishes, and has been sharing stories on Instagram to showcase her recovery.
