Actress and TV presenter Thembisa Nxumalo is finally out of danger. The Queen star has been discharged from hospital after she was admitted for long COVID.

According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, Thembisa is recovering at home. Sharing the news, Phil tweeted: "Thembisa Nxumalo has left hospital She has been discharged and recovering at home from a brave fight with long Covid. Thembisa took ill in April and was in and out of the Morningside and Sandton MediClinics."
Thembisa's family released a statement earlier this month regarding her health confirming that she was hospitalized and receiving the best medical care.
According to the statement, Thembisa was diagnosed with long COVID-19 which was further aggravated by an allergy.
“The Mdoda family would like to thank all of you for all the calls and the messages concerning our beloved daughter Thembisa Nxumalo (Nee Mdoda) following a tweet regarding her health. She is indeed hospitalized and receiving the best medical treatment at Sandton MediClinic. She was diagnosed with long Covid-19 which was further aggravated by an allergy. We are fortunate the doctors diagnosed her in time and are treating her with the utmost care.”
The family concluded the statement with more gratitude for the support and love that the people have shown.
Thembisa is in good spirits and well taken care of and will be released in the next few days. The family is grateful for your love and support during this time, it truly doesn’t go unnoticed. You will be hearing from Thembisa very soon. Once again, thank you, and may you extend this grace to all other families in need. The Mdoda Family”
The Queen star Thembsie Matu also shared that she was out of the hospital a few days ago. Thembsie was also admitted due to COVID.
The actress said she was grateful to still be alive, she also that the hospital staff for taking good care of her.
"I would like to thank the Clinton hospital staff because they worked really hard for me to still be alive today. Covid-19 almost took my life, I was in the hospital for five full weeks, sick, fighting for my life while they worked to keep me alive,
"The song that kept me alive I don't know whether I was singing it or speaking but it's is the song by Joyous Celebration titled 'Ndenzel' Uncedo' I was saying that, asking God not to live me, "the darkness is here please don't leave me," she said.
