Thuso Mbedu's International Series Debut Is Here

She is the lead actress on The Underground Railroad

Thuso Mbedu, the 2017 International Emmy nominee, is a Queen to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. She has starred on Mzansi Magic's soapie isiBaya, a role as a student on Scandal! and on a teen series called Snake Park. She only got her flowers from the drama series Is'thunzi, which premiered in October 2016 and earned her her Emmy Nomination.

In 2018, Thuso bagged a role as one of the leading actresses on Generations: The Legacy. According to Sunday World, it was alleged that Thuso was cast to replace Thuli Phongolo & Andisiwe Dweba whose characters have been written off the show.

Our start girl, Thuso Mbedu is the leading actress in this emotional rollercoaster as Cora in The Underground Railroad, a series that is based on the best-seller novel with the same title by Colson Whitehead. She shared her excitement back in April last year after it was confirmed that she got the role.

The good Sis is owning this year, even seasoned actress Bonnie Mbuli gave her warm thumbs up.

Just recently, she other fellow starts were nominated for the African Social Star award for the E! People's Choice Awards. Rapper, actress and poet, Sho Madjozi, Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi, magician Wian van den Berg and model Karl Kugelmann are her fellow nominees.

We can't wait to catch this thrilling new series she is leading on, she joins Pearl Thusi as one of the first South African ladies to be a lead actress on an American series. At the age of 29, she is destined for greater things and we are here for it.
