Our very own Thuso Mbedu still reigns supreme in Hollywood even long after The Woman King movie has debuted in cinemas. Mbedu last night graced The Daily Show stage for a one on one with host, Trevor Noah.

Thuso Mbedu is still flying the Mzansi flag very high in Hollywood as she continues to have interviews for her movie, The Woman King. Last night she sat with our very own Trevor Noah on The Daily Show and while casually talking about the role in the movie.
Mbedu has taken her fans into a beautiful journey that she has to embark on while taking up on the role in the film, The Woman King. Alongside veteran actress Viola Davis, Mbedu had a mentor and a 'shero' in Davis during studying for the film as well as shooting for the role.
She also mentioned how important t was for her to take on this role and embrace all aspects of it. Which in return worked in her favor because it elevated her to the greatest heights that awaited her.
"It's funny coz back home in South Africa that's what I was known for, I am actively resisting roles that I as a character will have to cry. In this one I loved that Voila's character tells my character that 'you do not cry in this space' I absolutely loved it because then it means I don't have to cry. But the movie tells us that what Viola was telling my character was not necessarily true, because taking away her tears means stripping her away of her humanity, ultimately" said Thuso MbeduMbedu strongly believes that the art of acting and storytelling for her is more than just to make money but to change people's lives. She mentioned that she chose acting because she has a clear vision of how she will use it as a tool to impact social change.
Mbedu takes Noah into her journey of preparing before filming and how she has managed to stay ahead and afloat while telling the beautiful story on The Woman King.
"I choose projects that I feel will have some sorts on impacts, we are not following the money but the purpose. We following changing peoples lives. You know I did drama in High School and University because I wanted to use acting as a tool for social change" said Thuso MbeduTaking to Twitter, fans across the globe have applauded Thuso Mbedu yet again for her remarkable and memorable acting skills on the movie, The Woman King. Fans are still eating out of Mbedu's palms.
