Best known as Schumacher from The Queen, Vuyo Ngcukana, celebrates his birthday today. Born as Vuyolwethu Ngcukana on 03 February 1983 in Mthatha, South Africa, landed his first role in television in the drama series Intsikam.

After a string of successful guest starring roles in Single Galz, Skwizas, Rhythm City, and Dream World, Vuyo Ngcukana’s big break came when he was cast as Schumacher in the Mzansi Magic soapie The Queen.

Vuyo Ngcukana shared a heartfelt message paying tribute to his late mother. Though it’s been 21 years since she passed away, her son who plays Schumacher from The Queen still feels her loss.

He wrote on twitter:

"Today marks 21 years since I lost my best friend, my cheerleader, comforter, the epitome of love, generosity and kindness, I carry everything she was in my heart, I love and miss you everyday Mama."

He also thanked his girlfriend for her support:

It is the first time in 21 years I could fully function in the month of May, especially on this day, there were difficult moments in the day but I managed quite well, thank you for the kind messages, @RenateStuurman and @tembisa I really appreciate you two with all my heart
