Although the couple has not really revealed much about their baby boy, when he was born, Masemola took a snap of his wife in the maternity ward from across the window, writing. “cause true kings don’t die, we multiply, peace.”
The proud father first made the announcement about their pregnancy in May 2020 when he shared a sonogram of their unborn child. For the caption, he quoted 1 Samuel 1:27 from the bible which reads: " for this child I prayed and the Lord has granted the desires of my heart”. This was followed by a gender reveal in June where he shared artwork by Nelson Makamo. Almost four months later, he shared a breathtaking picture from their maternity shoot; one that many of his followers and industry colleagues loved and found to be very artistic.
His baby boy is now a year old, and although the multi award-winning actor does not share snaps of his boy, to celebrate this milestone he posted a very heartwarming video of the day his son was born. An emotional Warren is seen playing with his son who is just minutes old and telling him that they love him while a nurse wraps him up. The star is so in love and in awe of his little human that he is seen wiping his teary eyes a few times before carrying him in his arms for the first time.
The caption of the video is so precious, as it reads: “An Emperor/Sultan was born on this day, we love you Mansa.”
It comes as no surprise that the thespian has been keeping his son out of the limelight. The actor is a very private person and does not do what he does for the fame. In one of his interviews he was quoted as saying: "I don't know fame. I only see people celebrating me and my work. I continue to live my life the way I've always lived." And it's safe to say that he is still living by that rule.
The actor is one of Mzansi's top actors and his inclusion in Beyoncé's music film Black Is King, which was watched by millions across the world, cemented this statement even further. With more than 10 years in the South African film and television industry, Warren is considered one of the best actors of his generation. The star is incredibly diverse and bodies every character that is assigned to him, making him an unforgettable face on our TV screens. From the worst and scariest criminal in the township to the gay that everybody in the neighbourhood loves and adores, Warren can pull it off.
