From multimillion deals and other life-changing deals, here are five celebrities who bagged massive deals this year.
- Cassper Nyovest
Award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest together with Drip’s Lekau bagged a R100 million deal last month. Sharing the big news on Twitter, Cassper said he had to invite his accountant for the very first time to sign a deal.
He tweeted: “Today is big!!! First time inviting my accountant to a deal signing. I had to celebrate this one with all the important people in the business. Monumental! Stay tuned to my Insta Stories for updates!!! #TheLegacyDeal”
Explaining how the deal works, Lekau told MacG on Podcast and Chill that the deal does not mean that Cassper is given R100 Million.
He said: "It's just a product and we signed a contract worth R100 million for the products. If it's a sneaker or a T-shirt worth R2000 we are going to make ones that are worth 100 Million. Up until that particular term ends. So that is how much it came to 100 million.
"If one Drip is R1000 then we are going to manufacture 100 000 Drips and that makes 100 Million. So the deal itself is worth R100M not to say by the end of term Cassper would have made R100M."
