On the telenovela she will play the character Zoleka Sigcawu and we can imagine how ecstatic she is as this is her first role in a soapie. The doting mummy is a very familiar face on our television screens and has been doing her thing for years now.
Speaking to the publication she said this is a whole new ball game for her as it is a different type of setting from what she is used to. "It’s been a very interesting ride and I’m enjoying it. I feel fortunate and blessed to be able to tap into these different types of mediums when it comes to acting, whether it’s theatre or a location-based series or telenovela," she said.
Zola started filming her scenes last year and she has grown to understand the character despite the zero similarities between them. Her storyline involves sporting and a love interest which will be filled with drama.
Recently, veteran actress Motshidi Motshegwa joined the telenovela which is not very popular with viewers and they had hoped she spices it up a bit. Isono cast features Nthati Moshesh who plays the role of Mother Mary, Rami Cheune who plays the role Jumima, Natasha Thahane who plays the role of Millicent, Fezile Makhanya plays the role of a politician dating a mother and daughter, Bohang Moeko who plays Mother Mary’s son, Gabriel. Others include Senzo Radebe, Didintle Khunou, Tokollo ‘TK’ Sebothoma, and Anga Makubalo.
Zola Nombona recently clocked in 29 and she showed nothing but gratitude, “Today I turn 29. I feel so blessed and excited for this journey. Ndiyabulela Yehova omhle. A big thank you to the baddest team!!!”
Her partner Thomas Gumede said, “Happy born day my love. Everyone in your life is blessed to have you in it, I know this because you’ve brought nothing but happiness and purpose to my own life. The love and support you have given to me has literally changed my life for the better! You shine and radiate from a beauty within and I am always in awe of how people respond to your presence.”
