Zoleka has captured the hearts of many people with her authenticity and her positive outlook on life. She has gained a huge fan base on social media for her fighting spirit amid life's greatest challenges. Zoleka is not one to give up easily and she always encourages her fans to never stop fighting.

The author's book was released in 2013 and it details the horror of losing two children within two years, her cocaine addiction, and her cancer diagnosis. Taking to Instagram she shared a short video of her thanking her followers for their support.

The past couple of months have been tough for Zoleka. Last month she revealed that she had started cancer treatment and said that she was battling to come to terms with the diagnosis.

"I wanted to thank you all, profusely for all your prayers and well wishes, for your generosity and kind deeds! 🙏🏾 I’m home and recovering from the side effects of my first session, to treat the cancer in my lungs, liver, ribs, spinal cord and hips. I’m battling to come to terms with my diagnosis, it’s both daunting and terrifying. Prayer for acceptance and peace that passes all understanding. Peace. Passion. Positivity," she wrote.

Before this post she had stated that she was hanging by a thread after the official CT scan showed that she has cancer both in her liver and lungs.

"Yesterday (29.08.2022) marked my official diagnosis, the CT scan has revealed cancer both in my liver and lungs. I am yet to receive feedback regarding my Bone scan, to establish whether I have cancer beyond my ribs. I am hanging on by a thread.

She also thanked all who have been praying for her recovery. "Thank you all for your outpouring of love, prayer and support. Peace. Passion. Positivity," she wrote.

The diagnosis came after she decided to consult her GP, who diagnosed her with Bone metastasi -  a condition in which cancer cells spread from their original site to the bone.

"I've had a sore back for more than a month now, and recently consulted with my GP when I could no longer tolerate the excruciating pain in my left rib. I went for an x-ray of my chest and rib a few days ago - I have a pathological fracture and swelling caused by cancer," wrote Zoleka.

Mzansi has been praying for her quick recovery.
