He admits being overwhelmed by his passing, "Your passing is overwhelming. To make complete sense of your being as a human would never suffice but the gravitas in you, yes the true You Mshengu, the energy is Magnificent and it is That which overwhelms me. Therefore I say 'Do not rest my brother. Keep living. Continue making that difference with impact. I Love you. And thank you for loving me.'"

“This is like losing a sibling and this is why they are not speaking to the media right now. They are going through a lot.Magesh was a genuinely good human being. He had a good heart. Anybody who knew him, loved him. Like anybody else, he was perfectly imperfect. Even if you argued, at the end of the day, you knew that he cares for you and has your back. We’ll also miss his sense of humour.” Refiloe told Daily Sun.
Kabelo Mabalane also shared some words for the late star, "Mfana, we changed the world and impacted a generation. You’ve left an indelible mark, you can be very proud of yourself. We are laying you to rest today. We’ve lived easily five lifetimes in the thirty years I’ve known you. What a ride it’s been my nigga. See you when I get there."
