South African global pop force Tyla has made her long-rumored dream official: she’s now the face of her very own Bratz doll, unveiled just two years after she first hinted at wanting one.
Back in 2024, the Grammy-winning artist took to X to share what she wanted after coming across a Bratz doll she couldn’t stop admiring. She wrote, “Imma have my own Tyla doll one day. This cute affff.”
Fast-forward to today, and that idea has become reality.
Bratz confirmed the partnership with the Water hitmaker, framing the collaboration as a celebration of Tyla’s breakout to international fame and her instantly recognizable style.
“Tyla and Bratz are making it official, Bratz Pack! From scorchin’ on the charts to serving show-stopping looks, Tyla is about to take the Bratziverse by storm with her signature style, fierce confidence, and full-blown bratitude!” the brand said in its announcement.
The collectible doll is designed to spotlight two of Tyla’s most talked-about fashion moments. It recreates her memorable “Sands of Time” look from the 2024 Met Gala, featuring a sculpted strapless gown meant to evoke cascading sand, plus a miniature hourglass purse.
There’s also a second outfit drawn from Tyla’s high-energy stage style, including a tie-front crop top, a shimmering sequin skirt, and a gold chain belt finished with a signature Bratz charm.
For fans hoping to grab the limited-edition release, the wait won’t be long. The Bratz × Tyla doll will arrive on 24 July at the Bratz pop-up shop inside FAO Schwarz at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
As part of the launch celebration, Tyla will take part in a special meet-and-greet and signing. The first 100 customers who purchase the doll will be able to join the exclusive experience.
If you’re not in New York, the doll will still be within reach: it will be offered online through Bratz’s website starting 27 July, with the release later rolling out to select retailers.
The collaboration adds yet another milestone to Tyla’s rapidly expanding global career.
With chart domination, major fashion moments, and even Grammy recognition, she keeps strengthening her status as one of South Africa’s biggest international success stories.
