Kaya FM has taken to social media to announce that radio presenter and Idols judge, Unathi Nkayi is 'coming home'.
The media personality is seen making the announcement in the video; revealing that she thought she was not ready.
"When I got the call to come home to Kaya, it was overwhelming for me. Not because I doubt whether I'm Afropolitan or not, but because I thought I wasn't ready."
The last time Unathi was on our radio was on Metro FM and what followed was what she described as "a painful exit". Although a lot was said about the abrupt manner in which she left the station, Unathi opened up about what transpired when she was interviewed on #BehindtheStory by Pearl Thusi in 2019. One of the main reasons she left had to do with a disagreement with the station's bigwigs.
Many of Unathi's fans had made peace with the possibility she may never return to radio, but fast forward to #20plenty, Unathi is back at it; doing what she loves.
Unathi and Kaya FM have not given listeners and fans much detail about the show, expect for the fact that the Halo Sana singer is set to debut her show in March. This comes after it was announced that Bridget Masinga has left the station... so is Unathi taking over her seat? We'll have to wait and see.
