Cassper Nyovest reveals that his latest project reached it’s golden milestone in just a day.
Who said South Africans don’t support local artists? There’s proof that when something is good, the numbers will do the talking.
Just ask Cassper Nyovest, who is reaping the rewards of his hard work.
While he was in London for the One Africa Music Fest, Cassper stopped by the BBC Radio 1Xtra studios, where he revealed that his latest album Thuto went gold on the first day of release.
“Because of the units the album sold out within hours and they made an order that day. So, we actually went gold on the first day,” he said on DJ Edu’s show.
The rapper added that he didn’t want to say anything until the album went platinum. “Right now I’m just trying to go platinum,” he added.
Cassper also got a chance to rub shoulders with some of your favourite stars in London. He shared some snaps on Instagram.

It also looks like he might work with Jidenna in the future. Well, that’s if his Instagram caption is anything to go by. He shared a picture of himself with the “Classic Man” and captioned it: “Met @jidenna last night. He said he been checking my music for 2 years now. Spoke briefly about work. Look out.”
