In an exclusive personal interview with ZAlebs, the media personality shared her thoughts on losing her mother when she was just 14.
"My mom is a very sensitive subject, she passed away when I was 14 and I look exactly like my mother... I think that is why my dad loves me so much, when he sees me, he sees my mom..."
She then went on to add that her late mother was everything to her.
"My mother was everything to me and everyone in our family. It never gets easier but it makes you stronger, if my mom had not passed away, I would have been very sheltered. After my mom passed on, I had to discover who I was, I had to form a backbone and in the process, I learnt how to use my voice because before then, I always had people speaking for me."
Speaking about the relationship she has with her dad, Farieda shared:
"My dad is my number one supporter, every time he sees me on TV, he calls and asks me how I am, he is always there and I appreciate that about him."
Although losing her mother has been difficult for the young star, she has certainly proven that she can overcome anything. With only a few years in the entertainment industry, the media personality is quickly making a name for herself.
We fell in love with her after watching a really funny video she shared on social media about three years ago. So, would she ever consider becoming a stand-up comedian?
In a previous interview with Farieda, she revealed:
"Once again this question follows me. Yes, one day I'd love to. I want to try everything at least once and if it works and I like it, it’ll be part of my other talents."
