At the top of the list sits ‘The number 1 Soweto boy’, PRO (Prokid) and while nobody was debating his position, there was a lot of controversy around other spots.
Many hip-hop lovers were upset that SA Idols host and executive producer, Proverb made the 23rd spot, calling it “disrespect”. Others couldn’t understand how Sesi aka Sho Madjozi is a rapper.
But if there’s one person who doesn’t care about any list, just as long as Prokid occupies the first spot and he second, is Stogie T.
In a Twitter thread, the musician made it clear that Prokid is “easily the best rapper in South Africa” and further took fans down memory lane, celebrating the late rapper’s legacy.
As yesterday marked a year since the passing of Linda Mkhize aka Prokid, Stogie’s tweets were a necessary celebration of his career and life. #RIPPro
