All4Women reports that Trevor Noah has lost out on an opportunity to bag a humanitarian award.

This honorary award, would have been presented to him by King Goodwill Zwelithini’s Bayede Foundation, for the amazing charity work he has done and continues to do in the country.

The Daily Show host has not been responding to his emails, where he is supposed to accept the nomination. After numerous failed attempts at contacting him and his team from the Trevor Noah Foundation, the foundation has resorted to taking away his nomination and award it to Charlize Theron instead.

Bayede Foundation CEO Rhana Naicker, apparently also tried to contact his mother Patricia, to get his contacts from the States.

Charlize was the more deserving party looking at the amount of charity work she does not only in the country, but Africa at large.

The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) works with the youth in Africa to combat HIV/AIDS.

Naicker spoke to Sunday World on the relationship Charlize has with the King and why this nomination is fitting for the award winning actress.

"The king and Charlize Theron have a long-lasting relationship, especially since she started doing charity work in KZN. We are just waiting for her to indicate if she will be able to collect the award in person or she will send someone else to do so,” he said.
