After what has been a crazy week of twitter throttles and show downs it seems the Twitter feud between rappers AKA and Cassper Nyovest is getting not only all of celebville riled up but has spread into the realm of politics.
It is no secret that EFF leader Julius Malema is not stranger to controversy. In Fact, the maverick seems to enjoy stirring up hot pots. And while the rest of the country can’t seem to decide between mangos & watermelons or which is better, Ciroc or Cruz?, Julius has already taken sides. In a twitter live stream, the politician himself ordained Casper as the BEST ENTERTAINER IN SOUTH AFRICA.
The battle of the rappers started off earlier this week when American rapper and mogul P Diddy tweeted out an emoji of a watermelon showcasing the newly launched Ciroc vodka flavour. This, of course, reignited a bitter feud between the two rappers that sparked a war on fruits. Luckily Ciroc announced that their new watermelon flavour would not be launching in South Africa.
This revelation sparked up the #HareBatleMagapu hashtag, a clear dig at AKA.
Mzansi’s celebrities have come out in droves backing either Nyovest or AKA. Some celebrities, however, just weren’t having it. Rapper JR tweeted his clear disdain for the war on fruits & vodka, tweeting that he gave ZERO F**KS about either of the rapper’s vodka brands. This, however, didn’t stop tweeps from coming after his “two cents” either.
