With the travel ban Mzansi has been asking for, many are happy that finally something is being done to combat the spread of COVID-19.

One way many South Africans believe will reduce the infection is by travelling less especially to high-risk countries.

Tone deaf Amanda du-Pont was recently dragged for travelling to a country that has confirmed cases of the Coronavirus.

The Turkish Airline is said to have implemented safety precautions and disinfecting methods, approved by international authorities.

As an avid traveler Amanda shared how much she loves travelling and is excited to travel to Turkey. She was labelled reckless and irresponsible.

Her and many influencers attempt to advertise the airline went south.

After receiving some major backlash she took to Instagram to clarify and put people at ease, saying that Turkey has less cases than Mzansi.

On her Instagram she wrote; "Flying to Turkey one of my favorite countries in the world. Feeling safe knowing that Turkish airlines disinfects each and every airplane after each use! If you know me, you know I live to travel. It ignites my soul🧚🏽‍♂️✨ I’m so blessed to be able to live out my dreams every day!

P.S there is currently less COVID-19 aka Coronavirus in Turkey than there is in South Africa."

Despite the caution the airline took, Tweeps are calling for Amanda to stay where she is and not return.
