Bonang Matheba is known for her social media teases ahead of any big news announcement and it’s usually a good tease. Today, the star once again took to social media teasing a possible paying gig from a live production. This comes after Bonang’s biggest and only television gig this year, the launch of Showmax’s original, the Real Housewives of Lagos.
The Queen B to many of her loyal fans and followers is known as one of the top celebrities in the country, and certainly one of the most paid in television, radio and productions when booked. She is back in the country and it seems she is also still making a steady comeback into the media industry where she belonds.
She has been off for a while with her last filmed show being season 3 of her reality television Being Bonang sometime last year on 1 Magic before hosting the launch of the Real Housewives of Lagos. Since then, she has been sustained by her major businesses, brand affiliations, and endorsements among other things but, she’s shared her excitement to be back doing live productions.
Bonang recently took to Twitter this afternoon sharing her excitement about the return of mass gathering events, and live television productions. The media personality mentioned that there is a lot of money to be made in her tweet. She wrote, “grateful that live productions and outdoor/social events are back.” She went on to write, “order is restored. Zaaaakazayy,” in a tweet with plenty of money bag emojis. It is no surprise that the reality tv star and presenter is thrilled about this as she’s recently also let tweeps know that she loves money. She followed up with a tweet that reads, “nna, ke rata chelete my love,” meaning “I love money” in Tswana.
This can only be a speculation and a tease on Bonang’s next potential gig knowing how she rolls. As much as we still do not know what it is, the Twitter streets did not withhold from assuming what next show or brand will butter the queen B’s bread next.

Other Twitter users who responded to the Queen’s tweet about loving money and her next possible gigs are celebrities Sizwe Dlomo and the Major League DJz. Sizwe concurred and encouraged Bonang to “tell them wena B,” while the twins of Amapiano replied “plain and simple.”
Bonang even without much media presence and appearances has continued to be one of the most influential people in the local entertainment space and promises to be a pull card for any brand that she works with next either in partnerships, television, radio to digital, and print.
