Thembisile ‘Thembi’ Seete was born on 25 March 1977 in Soweto and grew up in Sebokeng, Vale and Hillborough.

As she did that, she also ventured into acting and that took off pretty well. She landed her first role in Hijack Stories.
In the same year, Thembi Seete went on to feature in two other films, Yizo Yizo for which she sang its soundtrack Sure Ntombazana and Gaz’lam. Both series aired on SABC 1.
Thembi Seete’s talent was evident and directors handed her roles in other films like Crossing the Line in the role of Pumla, Zone 14 as Nina Moloi, and Mtunzini as Lily.
In 2014, Thembi Seete featured in three films - The Gift, Zaziwa and Rhythm City as Bongi.
