AKA has recently been quiet on Twitter. A fact which was not surprising initially as this started following the tragic passing of his traditional wife Anele “Nellie” Tembe’s tragic and still mysterious passing back in 2021. However, when AKA did return his previous persona of confronting naysayers and trolls had changed.

Initially, it was believed it would not last and that he was waiting for the matter to die down. However, the next thing we knew was that the rapper was in love yet again. This time with now long-term girlfriend and fellow rapper Nadia Nakai. While the early stages of their relationship did have some bumps. The smoother the ride, the less AKA tweeted. Now the rapper has reflected on the change in his social media etiquette.
AKA on his social media change in etiquette
Taking to Twitter recently, AKA first gloated about his debut album Levels achieving over 12 million streams. A suggestive post which could be interpreted to be directed at “arch enemy” Cassper Nyovest after he recently boasted about one of his tracks from 2018 making it into the Apple Music charts years later.
As such, it seems that the post had many of Cassper’s fans suggesting that AKA was still competing with Cassper. The old AKA would have taken the time to drag each and every one of these trolls. But instead, AKA returned to the blue app to assert that his change in social media etiquette does not allow him to do so.
One person who was seemingly not impressed was K.O, as he commented on the post egging AKA to unleash.
But probably K.O did not mean via Twitter and tweets. But instead, he might have meant that similar to himself that AKA could also release a diss track of his own. This is as K.O recently made headlines when he released his first single of the year with Forecast 23. A mission statement and diss track which dragged former bandmate Ntukza and Amapiano vocalist Lady Du.
...Ntukza started to bad mouth K.O and Ma-E in an effort to propel these solo ambitions. While K.O’s solo career would flourish, Ntukza’s career seemed to only decline. A fact which resulted in his animosity and shade by him towards his former bandmates.
While K.O initially kept it cute with PR answers in the ten years since their “break.” With Forecast 23, he made sure to drag Ntukza for filth. This is as he not only labeled Ntukza as petty over his comments about their split, but he also confirmed that there will never be a TearGas reunion.
But he did not stop there. In a surprising twist, K.O also went on to drag Lady Du for filth. It seems that Lady Du had come for SETE before it asserted itself as the biggest song of 2022, and K.O was not having it. He dragged the Wawa signature singer by highlighting that his song has officially now been certified diamond after Lady Du suggested that K.O was lying when he said the song was gold.
