Multi-Award-winning rapper AKA took to Instagram to put Idols SA on blast as he celebrates his 34th birthday today.

The rapper shared a series of "Supamega classics" taking his fans down the memory lane of his music career.

"This is the reason I've never performed on Idols ever again. #SupaMegaClassics … F*ck em. Will Smith ain’t got to cuss in his raps to sell records, well I do .. so f*** him and f*** you too," he captioned the Idols video.

In the video, AKA is aggressively arguing with  someone, He is then heard saying, "Don't treat me like a child, I'm not a child, I am somebody's father, don’t be like that."

Meanwhile, Idols SA has announced some major changes this year. Shirley Adonisi, M-Net's director of local entertainment channels, shared that Randal and Unathi Nkayi will not be part of the judging panel for the show's new season this year.

"The channel will not be renewing their contracts with for the upcoming season of the popular singing show. We are taking a fresh approach to the judging panel to retain audiences and stay competitive in the Sunday night timeslot," she said thanking the pair for carrying the show for the past years.

Also confirming her departure, Unathi took to Instagram to bid a farewell to Idol SA fans. She thanked South Africa and Africa as a whole for the support and love that they showed her.
"You have been kind, loving and deeply invested. Truly the real energy and heartbeat of a wonderful wave of hope and dreams coming true on Idols and as you do that, you have made my dreams come true too. THANK YOU."

She also thanked the Idols team and Multichoice for giving inspiring singers hope and a platform to showcase their talents, "I can never thank you enough Anneke, for making that call asking me to join the Idols family. Gav and Prozza thank you for trusting me with such a great responsibility. One that would form part of the narrative and soundtrack of our souls as a people. You changed my life and that of my family.

"To Multichoice, how humbling that you continue to make every boy and girl believe in themselves no matter which corner they come from, including me."

It has also been reported that Somizi will be return to the show after he was given a boot following the abuse allegations that his estranged husband Mohale Motaung leveled against him.

Somizi, however, has denied all the allegations stating, "Our relationship has its ups and downs but I have NEVER been physically or knowingly emotionally abusive towards my estranged husband. I vehemently deny the allegations of criminal acts towards him and would like to clear my name of that defamation.

"What I am going to state, however, is that we had one altercation in which I had to defend myself, and both of us were physically hurt by the other. I am at this stage not at liberty to dive deeper into the details but can state that he is not a victim in this situation."
