Emzini Wezinsizwa’s Sibeko dies

Daily Sun is reporting that Bafana Mlangeni, who played Sibeko on SABC1 comedy Emzini Wezinsizwa, has died. The 48-year-old actor reportedly died on Saturday at the Bheki Mlangeni Hospital in Jabulani, Soweto.

He is survived by two boys and three girls, and their mother. His wife, Maki Maleka, told the paper that the actor was suffering from diabetes. She told Daily Sun that he was shooting in Durban when his sickness became serious. He was rushed back to Johannesburg and died in the evening.

She said: “I feel like this is a bad dream and I’m still going to wake up and see my husband beside me. I can’t imagine life without him. It’s going to be difficult to live without him.”

Bafana’s funeral service will be held at the Dobsonville Community Hall on Saturday.
