Rea Kopane landed himself in hot water with Bonang last year, after claiming that the media personality introduced her ex-boyfriend AKA to cocaine. He claimed to have gotten this information from radio and TV personality Siyabonga 'Scoop Makhathini' Ngwekazi.

Bonang then slapped him with a R500k lawsuit after his startling claims. Rea was instructed to issue a retraction and apology in the form of a video and letter, and post these on all his social media platforms.

As per the letter of demand, the 22-year-old YouTuber posted an apology and retraction on his social media accounts.

In October 2021, Bonang was embroiled in a multimillion-rand fight over her sparkling wine House of BNG. The media personality announced that she had terminated her contract with her ex-management Celebrity Services Africa (CSA). She said that she terminated her contract with the company citing possible criminal conduct.

Chatting about it on his Everything SA Music platform, Gopane downplayed Bonang's business acumen and said she is not as smart as she makes people think she is.

“All she’s good at is getting her fans to attack people, she’s been doing it for a couple of years.”

“Ntsiki Mazwai told us, shout out to her, she told us that Bonang is just the front. She’s making her lawyers do stupid stuff like sending cops to my house and sending me a summons.”

“Do the real work of securing the bag. She fooled everyone on some ‘girls with vineyards’ she doesn’t have a f*cking vineyard," he claimed.

If you may recall, Ntsiki wrote this on her Twitter, "Believing Bonang owned the wine (House Of BNG) was like believing she owned Revlon....She is just the marketing gimmick to sell these products. Not the owner," Ntsiki said.

In a cryptic tweet, Bonang wished him good luck and added a heart emoji. It seems the legal battle between the two is continuing as Bonang has involved her lawyers.

Social media user Michael Bucwa known as Mr Smeg, asked Bonang in a tweet to forgive him but the media personality is adamant. Instead she laughed at him.

"Hey @Bonang ,Forgiveness is the best form of love .It takes a strong person to say sorry and an even stronger person to forgive. Please forgive him and move on . Feel free to reach out if you need a shoulder to cry on
