Hip Hop giants, Cassper Nyovest and AKA are being pinned against one another in what appears to be a battle of the albums. Whilst AKA is still on a high after the release of Bhovamania which dropped on Friday, 23 October 2020, Cassper wasted no time in reminding the world that it was in fact his album, Any Minute Now, which is remaining at number one since it released on Friday, 11 September 2020.

Cass tweeted, “Almost 2 months later and We still number 1 onda charts. Might just drop a video for Hlengiwe. Real music for the soul!!! Music that uplifts people's moods. That the music i make. That's my cup of tea. Soundtracks to people's lives.”
One of his fans begged for him to release a music video of a hip hop track of his album, suggesting that Egyptian Cotton be the next one to get some visuals. The rapper made sure to remind him just who he was, and asked that he trust his process. He followed with, “Relax. 4 Platinum albums deep and you still don't trust me? Me? Stadium Status Cass? Abuti Fill up? The marketing genius? Y’all gotta learn to trust me. I got you bro!!! Hip Hop was dead, its back now and I am going to feed y’all. Watch me move!!!”.
Tweeps ran a rampage following Cassper’s tweets, with many suspecting that his over-confident comments were based on the fact that AKA had just released his EP. Siya Twala tweeted, “You couldn’t let mega have his day could you…. What you gonna do when you get bumped off the charts bro?”.
For the longest time, AKA was inundated requests from his fans, begging and pleading for him to finally release his album. After announcing his track list, demanding that his song, Iron Duke was added to his album, Bhovamania. Sometime in September, the rapper/producer finally gave in.
With a tracklist of 13 songs on Bhovamania the songs are; and intro, Casino, Heavy Drank, Python, My Heart, Finesse, Holy Water, Energy, Monuments, African Man, Startin’ Now and AKA. One song in particular that grabbed the attention of the public was Mufasa, which is suspected to reference his arch-enemy, Cassper Nyovest. AKA and Cassper have been beefing for the longest time and at some point were even planning a boxing match, with contracts and everything but it is yet to materialise. Cassper even told Somizi that he would never work with AKA, but he wants to knock him out.
