The publication alleges that David Kau owes FNB more than R1 million as he apparently took out a loan to buy his home in Johannesburg.

After failing to repay his loan, the high court in Johannesburg has reportedly granted an order to have his home auctioned.

Paper seen by the publication read in part, “In terms of the mortgaged bond, the first respondent acknowledged that he is lawfully indebted and bound to the applicant in the sum of R1 662 198 and the additional amount of R333 000.”

The loan was to be repaid in R14 000 monthly installments but David Kau allegedly defaulted from last year and now faces R275 000 arrear fees.

The comedian is fighting to keep his home.

Celeb's financial woes have been a topic for discussion especially over the past few months. Prince Kay bee even expressed heartache on the matter and advised creatives on what they can do to help themselves.

“I've spent the last couple of days thinking about the recent moments in the media about artist belongings being repossessed. Some of these people are problem solvers, solution driven and a reflection of hope to their families,” he tweeted.

“Second, money is there to be saved and my heart goes out to everyone who has been publicly humiliated for making bad financial decisions. May y’all pick yourselves up and carry on to be winners in your respective fields,” he pleaded.

Just recently it was reported by Daily Sun that DJ Clock is also about to lose his home. He pleaded with the publication to help spread the message as he is in need of public assistance.

“I would appreciate it if Daily Sun could help me with the money I owe, so I can pay Absa and other debt. Your help will be highly appreciated as Covid-19 hit us, entertainers, badly,” he was quoted saying.

Celebs who asked for help and received it are jumping for joy now. First it was Zahara who owed Nedbank money and was on the verge of losing her home. She pleaded with people after denying these claims countless times. When people pulled through, she was able to pay her debt.

"A month back your Country Girl came out and spoke about how she's on the verge of losing her house and asked for Donations in coming up with the R350 000 the bank wanted. Your Country Girl came out and spoke about her financial problems to show ownership of her life moving forward.

"Thank you to each and every individual who donated and helped out, your contributions were very helpful...Nenze njalo nakwabanye. The auction that was scheduled for tomorrow is canceled. Thank you for your donations and prayers," she captioned the post.

Now, Dr Malinga too saw himself backed into a corner and went to Podcast and Chill to cry about his debts.
