Didn't we just put an end to this?

The past week has seen everybody in Mzansi become an activist against cyber bullying, the wake of Riky Rick’s passing and many celebrities opening up on their struggles with depression. But it seems some just didn’t get the memo, and DJ Lamiez Holworthy took it upon herself to shut one troll down.

A young digital content creator shared a picture of her new hairdo on Instagram, which is pretty standard, to show some of her fans and followers how she protects her hair from damage. And as others came in to congratulate her on her creativity in coming up with the style, one follower just couldn’t stop herself from being negative and hating on the style, calling it “untidy”.
As it so happens, Lamiez is a fan and followers of the lovely young girl, and spotted the comment. She immediately sprang into protective mama mode, and shut down the troll.

We can’t be teaching grown folks about cyber bullying when even subtle jabs and little unnecessary comments like these can cause harm,” she wrote.

She further shamed the troll for bringing such negativity to a child’s page, because what kind of adult takes their time to troll children online?

Lamiez then went ahead to share the screenshot of her response on her own page. She said that she could not understand how people are able to preach about putting an end to cyberbullying, then turn around and do the same thing to a child, less than a week later.

The young girl who was defended is in awe of Lamiez for her protective instinct, and has declared her a hero. Girl, same. Lamiez is indeed a hero.
The DJ has never been one to shy away from calling out hypocrites. She recently went on a mini rant on her Instagram stories, complaining about those women who hide behind women empowerment posts on their social media, but are actually the meanest people in real life.

She talked about having noticed that some people pretend to be all about the bible and feminism, but they use the quotes and Bible verses to throw subtle jabs at others. She said that it was some seriously fake behaviour, and urged those who have such habits to do better in 2022.
Lamiez has also been caught up by people who do not respect her privacy, more than one time. She finally had to complain about it, especially those people who are close to her, who give her personal contacts away to strangers. We feel your frustration, sis.
