A few days ago, a Twitter user @gracelandfarmer asked Lamiez to help him propose to his girlfriend.
βHi Lamiez, my girlfriend is your biggest fan and itβs her birthday on Thursday, I want to propose to her in front of you. We can do it anytime from Thursday to Sunday anywhere in Gauteng. Please @LamiezHolworthy,β he tweeted.
In response, Lamiez agreed to help, she also promised to buy something for the girlfriend.
@gracelandfarmer has since taken to Twitter to thank Lamiez for helping him. Lamiez also revealed that this is by far the most special thing she has been part of. She thanked the tweep for asking her to be part of his special moment.
Taking to the comments section to react, Tweeps applauded Lamiez for helping and also congratulated the couple, and here are a few reactions.
Kgosi said Lamiez has a beautiful heart. He added, "You can differentiate between celebs doing things for others because they have pure hearts, from those than do things as part of PR. You seem really genuine. Modimo a go okeletse."
Windsor: "Congrats to them and your spirit of ubuntu bakho means everything Lamiez. Responding the way you did hai kuhle keep up the good work Jah bless you and the couples union."
Lamiez is an inspiration to many women. She recently opened up to TshisaLive about her role in different women's lives.
βI have been on LiveAMP for so long because I am different because I am the change that the world so desperately needed, that SA desperately needed. Little girls need to see a woman who looks like them, other women need to see women that are real, women with stretch marks, women with cellulite, women with big thighs and they needed to know that it was OK.
βPeople needed to know that being different is OK and that is also your power once you accept your flaws, no one can use them against you,β she said as quoted by the publication.
Lamiez has also been subjected to a lot of bullying on social media. Not so long ago, she found herself having to deal with another troll for body-shaming her, this, after a catfish account called her a man after she posted a picture on Twitter.
"I have women of all shapes and sizes who follow me for this very reason! I have little girls who look up to me because of how comfortable I am in my own skin! Daily I am subjected to constant body shaming and bullying and told to be the bigger person. Well, today Le nyile ge!"
βI used to be a weave girl, I used to spend thousands on really long weaves because I thought that made me more like the girl in the magazine would look, so cutting my hair was me taking back my power,β she clapped back.
