DJ Maphorisa has responded to Slik Talk's disses when he called him ugly and unattractive. But Slik Talk was not going to let that slide as he fired back at Phori in a video that saw him topping the trends list.
DJ Maphorisa went on Instagram live and bashed Slik Talk after he dissed his looks, saying he is ugly.
"What is this boy Slik Talk saying? He is too forward, he must not mess with me," exclaimed an angry Maphorisa.
Slik Talk then fired back at Maphorisa and threw even more shade at him. "This Squidward from a Spongebob-looking n***a has the nerve to say he's cute. DJ Maphorisa you and I both know that you are a couple of nickel's away from a dollar. You're not the sharpest tool in the shed, you've been ugly your whole life.
"The Maphorisa school of ugly is a real institution, one of your top achievers, your top students is Busta 929. Man is a 1 out of 10 on a good day. You've been ugly your whole life DJ Maphorisa, don't play yourself.
Slik Talk then took aim at Phori's artistry saying he has never ever released a hit song alone, he has to rely on other artists to do that. "People always say DJ Maphorisa is a genius, this ni*** is not a genius and that is a fact. He cannot release a song by himself and it becomes a hit...He always needs people, he always uses people. Kabza De Small is your daddy, if it wasn't for Kabza you wouldn't have a hit," he dissed.

Maphorisa also made headlines when he called Mas Musiq selfish for sampling Samthing Soweto's Afro Beats song and not crediting him. He then revealed that's how eMcimbini came about.
“Mas used to be selfish, and unfortunately eMcimbini, that's why we took it. Why Kabza and I took eMcimbini was because it had a saga. It had saga why? Mas Musiq sampled Samthing Soweto's afro beat song. We played that song at Live Amp,” said Phori.
“Then when we played it at Live Amp, Samthing Soweto freaked asking why are the boys sampling me...I begged Samthing Soweto telling him that the song is big. I then thought Kabza and I should take it and he should add a verse,” he added.
